Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice (2026) Review: Time-Bending Gangsters Chase One Wild Night

This mike & nick & nick & alice review starts with the title, because it sets the tone: busy, cheeky and slightly overstuffed. Writer-director BenDavid Grabinski mixes crime, comedy and time travel into one long night. The result is often funny, though not always focused.

Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice Review: The Story So Far (No Spoilers)

The plot follows two gangsters and the woman they love as they try to get through the most dangerous night of their lives. Then a time machine joins the mix, and the film's title starts to make sense. I won't say how, or why, there are two Nicks.

The setup is simple enough to follow. A tight circle of criminals, a few double-crosses and a ticking clock give the story a clear engine. The sci-fi gimmick adds jokes and complications rather than a lecture on how time travel works.

The tagline promises a "time-traveling, double-crossing, ass-kicking comedy," and that is a fair summary of the first act. It moves quickly and rarely stops to explain itself.

What Works in Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice

The best thing here is the comic energy. The dialogue is loose and quick, and the film packs in small gags and plot turns that reward close attention. Several viewers have praised the crisp editing, and the pace does keep things moving across its 107 minutes.

The time-travel hook gives the film a distinct identity. Many modern comedies feel interchangeable, but this one has a strange premise and commits to it. The action beats add welcome variety when the banter slows.

• Snappy, joke-heavy dialogue

• A premise that feels fresh for a studio-style comedy

• Brisk editing that keeps the night moving

It also fits neatly into the wider run of action movie reviews and comedy movie reviews on this site, though it is looser than most.

Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice Cast and Performances

The mike & nick & nick & alice cast is the main draw. James Marsden plays Quick Draw Mike, and Vince Vaughn takes on both Future Nick and Present Nick. Eiza González plays Alice, the woman at the center of the trouble.

Vaughn Leads the Chaos

Vaughn gets the showiest job, playing two versions of the same man. Some audience reviewers call it one of his best performances in years, and his fast, talkative style suits the material. Marsden brings a sharp comic touch as Mike and plays well off him.

The Supporting Players

Keith David appears as Sosa, Jimmy Tatro as Jimmy Boy and Stephen Root as Chet. They add texture to the criminal world around the leads. González gives Alice a firm presence, though the script gives the others more of the big laughs.

Where Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice Stumbles

The film's biggest problem is that it cannot settle on one identity. It tries to be a buddy comedy, a romance, a crime thriller, a sci-fi story and an action film all at once. One critic called it a genre pile rather than a genre blend, and that criticism has some bite.

The tone can wobble from scene to scene. A joke may undercut a tense moment, or a romantic beat may get lost under a chase. At times the movie feels like it has more ideas than it needs.

The runtime is reasonable, yet the plotting can still feel crowded. Not every twist lands with the same punch, and a few gags repeat a familiar rhythm.

Is Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice Worth Watching?

Yes, if you want a lively, offbeat comedy and do not mind some mess. It is more fun than it has any right to be, even if it is also more movie than it needs to be. Audience scores sit at a healthy 6.7 out of 10 on TMDB, which matches my own view.

The cast sells the silliness, and the central idea gives it a pulse. If you expect a tightly engineered time-travel puzzle, you may be disappointed. If you want a loud, quotable night out, it delivers.

The mike & nick & nick & alice release date was March 14, 2026, and the film is rated R for language and violence.
